"When I bellydance, I slip into my own world where it is just me, the stage and the drum beat. Through dance, I can let go of any anxieties and instead get lost in the rhythm. Bellydance allows me to express my creativity and who I feel I am."

Folkloric Bellydance focuses on the traditional philosophy of bellydance as a form of artistic and emotional expression and a social activity. Men and women, boys and girls can all enjoy this traditional and inclusive dance form which focuses more on what a body can do than what a body looks like, working against common myths about body image, stereotyping as well as the media and consumer driven expectations on young men and women. Contact Samina for more information or make a time to discuss how a program can be tailored for the class or group in mind.
*Please note that a school teacher must be present at all times.
